Riu Palace Macao

Just booked 2 weeks for 2 April 2007 at the Riu Palace Macao. Stayed at the Riu Palace Mexico last year and had an absolutely brilliant time so we thought we would try another Palace this year.

Can anybody recommend the best trips to go on?

Anyone else going to be there during this fortnight? Maybe we could meet up for drinks at one of the bars?

FOr the best excursions I recommend Wimpy. He is a Belgian guy, living there for many years. He has a excursioncompany and he can give you more personal excursions for less money then the touroperators.

Does anyone know if there are trips to Santo Domingo and how far is it? or how long is the coach ride?

Also I have read that you can go whale watching at certain times of the year, anyone been and is April a good time?

The first time we visited the DR, we landed at Santa Domingo - the transfer was 2 1/2 - 3 hours - with a toilet break near La Romana at a souvenir emporium.

I would do research on what there is to see in the city before going there.
