How far do you have to go to snorkell from the Riu beach in Punta Cana?Which side of the beach is best for swimming.

From Naiboa it is a 3 to 5 minute walk.

Thanks for the info Kim.I head out tuesday with flippers and mask in hand.Is the reef large? Is there a day trip for sailing and snorkelling?

Hi there,

I don`t know if the reef is very large.
There are day trips and half daytrips to the reef to snorkel.

Also the excursion to the Saona Island is great!
You go there by catamaran and have time to snorkel.
Swim in the sea and have a BBQ on the beach, and go back by speedboat.

Kim.........thanks again for the great info.Really looking forward to this trip.I have been to twelve other areas in the carribean and am excited to visit Punta Cana.

As you can see, I fly of and on the the Dominican and I always visit Riu naiboa. It is my favorite hotel.
I can only say you made the right choise by pickeing this hotel at the resort.
