Alcohol dispensers - Riu Naiboa
|
|
|
| What are the four type of alcohol dispensed in the mini bar? Is there an entry or exit tax at the airport in Punta Cana? |

Exit Tax $20 (or maybe $25) - may be included as part of the ticket price - your rep will tell you once you're there
Dispensers
Usually white rum, brown rum, brandy & vodka in the DR _________________

In Naiboa only White and brown rum.
But if you ask for something else, they will put it into the dispenser for you. _________________ Riu Naiboa nov `02, oct `03, dec `03, may `04, oct `04, nov `04, april `05, sept `05, dec `05, may `06, sept `06, may `07, april `08, okt `08, dec `08, may `09, oct`09

It might have been 2 different rums. Their brandy is amazing.
We also had beer. |

I bought the empty bottle of Mamajuana with the sticks in it and was told to fill it with the room rum. I got it home and it tastes like I packed my dirty socks in the bottle . What's up with that Does it have to age or do I have to start out with the Brugal for a bit and then try

The first mix is always undrinkable - it's just so bitter. It was free for you so just drain it and fill again. Add decent (but not really good rum) and flavour with red wine and honey to taste. Tourist mixes are heavy on red wine and honey - local mixes not so much.
It gets smoother with time and the number of fills.

OK Kim it's a deal. I'm going back. That excuse works for me .
Thanks Gregg and seacapt, see I knew the real alcoholics would have the answers . I had no idea that honey and wine were in there , but now that you say it , there is a bit of a sweetness to it. Thanks again,
