Riu Palace Mexico and the Club-hotel Riu Mambo
were classified 2nd and 9th in the TUI-Holly prizes ‘ top-ten’
Two hotels in the RIU chain were classified in the list of the ten best
holiday establishments in the world during the TUI Holly prize
gala held this weekend in Hannover (Germany).
According to the questionnaires on TUI customers' level of satisfaction,
the Riu Palace Mexico, in
Playa del Carmen, and the Club-Hotel
Riu Mambo in Puerto Plata
(Dominican Republic) hold 2nd and 9th places respectively in the
privileged list of the ‘top-ten’.
A total of up to 19 RIU hotels have won awards in the 2001 TUI Holly
prizes and appear in the list of the 100 best establishments.
Of the 19 prize-winning hotels 9 establishments are located in the
Canaries. To be precise, in Gran Canaria, the Riu Palace Meloneras,
Villas Riu Palace Meloneras, Riu Palace Maspalomas and Riu Palmeras; in
Tenerife, the Riu Palace Tenerife; in Lanzarote, the Riu Palace
Lanzarote; and in Fuerteventura, the Riu Palace Jandía, Riu Palace
Palacete and Riu Tamango.
Hotels to win outside the Canaries are the Riu Festival (in Majorca),
the Riu El Mansour (in Tunisia), the Riu
Palace Mexico, the Riu
Yucatan and the Club-Hotel
Riu
Tequila (in Mexico), the Riu
Melao, Riu Taíno, Riu Palace Macao and the Club-Hotels Riu
Mambo and Riu Bambú
(in the Dominican Republic).
